Hi, just finished re editing the first approximately 116 pages of my current book.
Name: Taisyd Revisited. This will probably remain the title. Taisyd is the shipyard in book one of the Enemy/Friend series. So, I have already given away that a new shipyard is a piece of this book.
New solar issue introduced. New life issues continue. So far, peace reigns.
I am grateful for having learn patience before being quarentined for an unknown number of days. Still, I can only edit or write a page or so at a time.
Currently the sixth book of my sci-fi series is passed 110 pages. The plot is progressing and as usual out of control. The same characters are present when needed. New problems with solutions. It is vastly different from book one, but the hate and war left in book three.
Tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday, but she postponed celebration until July. Surely we will be out of quarentine by then.
I have long said that nothing appears in fiction that won’t eventually become fact. Anne McCaffrey wrote in her Dragonriders of Pern about a cure for the plague. I just heard it on the news.
Hurray for fiction writers.
I am on the second edit of my current book. It is a mess and my focus is poor right now. On lock down for another three weeks and I am getting cabin fever. Therefore, I am blaming the lockdown for this phase.
Even so, I am progressing well with book six of my sci-fi series. The last three books have a lighter tone for those who read book one.
If you have trouble finding an authors work, Google search or Bing search their name. This is how to find books. Also, special order at your bookstore.
I have never been a social butterfly, but in high school I went to all but one of my dances with a new man.
I also have experienced with isolation. I had polio when I was six. My entire family was isolated and estranged to some degree.
However, I have an independent life now and not being able to go out is stressful.
The benefit is my frustration improves my writing.
A nice man came over wearing mask and gloves today and replaced the main light switch in the main bathroom. I gave him a choice of my books and he picked book one of sci-fi. My compliments to him. I also invited his wife and him to our book group when we can meet again.
Nothing else to do. Watch TV, drink too much caffeine and edit current book.
One kid sick with usual stuff, one kid out of work worrying about bills. Nothing compared to those with lost loved ones.
By the way, I have TP.
Getting back to editing and then write another 5 or 10 thousand words before returning to editing. See you when I can resume book signings and social activities.
I am scheduled to have a book signing on 3/28 in Monroe, Wa. At Main St. bookstore.
The reality is that I am rarely leaving the house due to the new Corona virus. Only time will tell. If the new cases stop, it may still happen.
I am still writing my 26th book. It is number six in my Sci-fi series.
God willing I will see you on the 28th.
I have written and self published 25 books. Why am I having trouble?
I am wondering if it is because I have so much input now on social media, book club, myself, etc. Probably, I am overthinking it.
I have reached 13000 words on the sixth book in my sci-fi series.
And, am planning on redoing The Lost Branch vol. One…apparently my twenty year gap is an issue to my readers. Sorry, just didn’t have filler. I will find some.
After that, I may write on another part of my family.
In writing I feel success is a matter of perspective.
I had a great book signing today in Sultan. The owner, myself and another author sat around and chatted. I learned a lot about both of them. I listened to the rain and hail.
The owner bought some books and I drove home feeling glad to still have my studded tires on.
Tomorrow is another day.
Writing is only part of the job. Besides writing I answer questions if I can. A simple suggestion is probably all they need.
I also have learned from others.
In between other things, I write. Book 26 is coming along nicely. I am trying to add new twists to prevent boredom.
Also, set up two book signings and keep moving on.
